J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Indian Army has always been at the forefront in providing selfless assistance to local Awam. On 14 June 2021, vehicle recovery team of Indian Army based at Samote successfully recovered a civil tipper truck, regd No JK 11D 9201, in the area of Darhal in Rajouri District. The owner of truck is an Ex-servicemen, Sub Maj (Hony Lt) Mohd Khalid (Retd), 3 JAKLI, who served the nation till year 2004. The vehicle had fallen in a 50 mtr deep gorge near Darhal Nala and it was very difficult to recover the same due to steep gradient and inclement weather persisting for last couple of days.
The locals conveyed their sincere gratitude and lauded the efforts of Indian Army for providing recovery assistance to the Ex-serviceman. The timely assistance provided by the Army shows their true dedication towards the Awam and as an organisation are always standing with their veterans.
