Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: On Sunday, Congress senior Leader Rahul Gandhi announced Charanjit Singh Channi as Congress CM face for Punjab. A long awaited decision came on the Sunday eve and Congress high command showed their trust on a person who belongs to a scheduled caste and coming from a poor family background.
Rahul Gandhi after a meeting with Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, Former Punjab congress president Sunil Jakhar and CM Charanjit Singh Channi, stamped on the name of Channi for Punjab’s CM face.
Congress was facing an internal differences from a long time and resulted in the removal of Capt Amarinder Singh as Punjab CM. Congress has now came out from the dilemma of selecting their State leader by announcing Channi.
