J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district have solved three cases of thefts that have taken place in the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station. Six accused have been arrested by police with stolen property worth lakhs have been recovered from the possession of accused. In an official statement, SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam said that cases of thefts were registered in police station Rajouri in case FIRs
41/22 U/Ss 457/380/IPC,
49/22 U/Ss 457/380/IPC,
55/22 U/Ss 457/380
IPC, 52/22 U/Ss 457/380/IPC.
He said that these cases were registered in police station Rajouri in recent past after which investigation team headed by SHO Rajouri Fareed Ahmed conducted investigation in these cases of thefts under the supervision of dysp hqrs dysp Vinod Sharma. In the process of investigation, several suspects were rounded up. Six suspects confessed their involvement in incidents of thefts during police investigation. They include Zaheer Abass @Billa son of Mohd Lateef resident Dagani, Shokit Ali son of Mir Mohd resident of Khari Karmala Poonch, Tariq Aziz son of Mohd Makhna resident of Thudi Jawhar Nagar, Muzafar Hussain son of Mohd Rashid resident of Dhani Dhar, Mohd Aslam son of Sabar Hussain resident of Laroka Nowshera while name of sixth accused is withheld due to some legal reasons. All the accused confessed for their involvement in incidents of thefts after which stolen property worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered.
The recoveries include rupees ninety thousands in case FIR 41/22 U/Ss 457/380 IPC, twenty mobile phones worth around two lakhs in case FIR 49/22 U/Ss 457/380 IPC, stolen motorcycle JK11A 9088 in case FIR 55/22 U/Ss 457/380 IPC, stolen cash ohe thousand rupees in case
FIR 52/22 U/Ss 457/380 IPC.The total value of property recovered in these cases amounts around rupees 3,81,000. SSP Rajouri informed that further investigation into the matter is going on. SSP also said that a number of cases of thefts have been worked out in the district in recent past and stolen property have been recovered with accused involved in the cases are behind bars. He also appealed people to ensure all kinds of household preventive measures for prevention of thefts so that valuables and hard earned money of people can be saved.
