Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrated with Devotees at Panchtarni

J&K/Anantnag (The Stellar News): To commemorate 23 years of Kargil Victory, a celebratory rally was organised by civil, security agencies and approx. 4000 Yatris (Devotees) at Panchtarni.
The day started with playing of National Anthem and unfurling of the Tricolour by Thakur Sher Singh JKAS, Camp Director Panchtarni, as everyone remembered the sacrifices of the soldiers during the Kargil War.
This was followed by a contingent of Indian Army marching along with the ocean of Yatris upto the holy cave, and the National Flag leading them. The josh of the soldiers and Yatris was unwavering, as they raised slogans enroute Shri Amarnathji Yatra to express gratitude to the gallant soldiers and for their beloved land.
During the day, patriotic songs being played on the PA System added to the fervour. Sweets were also distributed among the yatris.
Main officers who participated in the event were Jatinder Gupta CO 49BN, Yatra Officer SP Surinder Choudhary, Dy.Com BSF Pawan Singh ,Addl. Camp Directors Sanjay Gupta, Deepak Kumar, Nodal Officer Sanitation Jahid Azad, Maj Vipin COY, Commander 2/11 GR, Cap Khurana CRPF, Deputy Camp Director Daljeet Singh, Cap Khatana BSF, DySP Rajinder, DySP Rishi Singh, Sub Inspector Sunil Verma, SHO Panjtarni Nazir Ahmed, and officers from NDRF, SDRF and other civil departments.
