J&K/Doda (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Doda Police said that it has worked out a theft case within 24 hours after the incident of theft at Bus Stand Doda and recovered the stolen property from the possession of arrested thief. While giving details it was told that today on 14th of January-2023 based on a written complaint received from the complainants namely Mohd Shafi son of Mohd Saber resident of Ban-Doda and Masood Ahmed son of Abdul Karim resident of Shinal Mohalla Doda to the effect that some unknown thieves after break opening the locks of four shops at Bus Stand Doda and took away Mobile phones, electronic items, hardware items and cash from the shops.Soon after receipt of the complaint Doda Police swung into action and a team was constituted under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Doda.
The Police team conducted searches in different areas of Doda town besides sources were activated to apprehend the accused and after getting some lead the accused Mohan Singh @ Manu son of Uttam Singh resident of Bhella was rounded up and on his disclosure, stolen mobile phones and other electronic items alongwith some cash was recovered from his possession. In this connection, case FIR No. 08/2023 under relevant provision of law was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation of the case is going on.
