J&K/Doda (The Stellar News): Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers, Doda Police has booked a notorious drug peddler and lodged him in District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive custody.

Giving details, Police said that number of complaints were being received at Police Station Bhaderwah against one Saqib Ahmed son of Hafizullah Sheikh resident of Chinar Mohalla Bhaderwah for his involvement in drug peddling and also alluring the young generation to consume as well as supply drugs and getting youth involved in drug addiction. Acting upon this alarming information, Police swung into action and a detailed report regarding his involvement in drugs as well as involving other youth was prepared by Police and a Police party led by Inspector, Jatinder Singh Rakwal, SHO PS Bhaderwah apprehended and produced him before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhaderwah wherefrom he was sent to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
Doda Police is appealing the general public to extend co-operation to Police and provide information if any clue of drugs smuggling is struck so that stringent action is taken against the drug peddlers and menace of drug is eradicated from the society.
