Turkey (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Death toll climbs to 24,000 amid the consecutive quakes and the injured people count has crossed 60,000 in Turkey. The deadliest disaster which hit Turkey and Syria a few days back and totally damaged the infrastructure of region.
Amid the four quakes of 7.8, 7.6, 6.0, 5.6 magnitudes, the buildings in Turkey and Syria collapsed like the deck of cards. Turkey is in the situation of catastrophe and people have lost their living spaces because of powerful quakes.
Most of the people are spending their nights on roads and eagerly waiting for the government help. Despite, other countries coming forward for help but the situation is so worse that it will take time to get back on track. India,, first responding to the disaster offer all possible help to both the countries and immediately sent a C-17 craft with two NDRF teams, two dog squads with medical kits and necessary items.
Till now, five C-17 crafts have already reached with Turkey and 101 NDRF officers are on turkey ground to rescue people. Indian army have also set-up a temporary hospitals in Turkey with all medical aminities.
