J&K/Doda (The Stellar News): Continuing its war to root out the drug menace from the society, Doda Police along with civil administration has destroyed poppy cultivation in Thada Mohalla Bhaderwah.
In a statement issued by Doda Police it was told that on the receipt of a reliable information at Police Station Bhaderwah that Poppy (Opium plants) has been cultivated in Thada Mohalla Bhaderwah.
Acting upon this information, Police swung into action and a police party led by Inspector Jatinder Rakwal SHO PS Bhaderwah along with Tehsildar Bhaderwah reached on the spot and destroyed poppy plants.
Doda Police has warned such cultivators to desist from these activities, else strict action under law will be taken which also includes attachment of moveable /immoveable property of persons if found involved in such practice.
