Amritsar (The Stellar News): On 19th Dec’ 2023, during early morning hours, vigilant BSF troops intercepted a suspected drone near Village-Dhanoe Khurd, District- Amritsar (R). As per laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted and intercepted the drone.
2. Further a Joint search Operation with Punjab Police was carried – out in the depth area. During the search, at about 04:20 am, troops recovered 01 drone along with 01 packet of contraband Heroin (Gross wt of contraband- 430 Gms), wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, a ring of nylon string and an illuminating small size torch attached with the consignment, from the farming field near Village-Dhanoe Khurd. The consignment was attached with the drone with Hold & release mechanism of the drone.
3. The recovered drone is a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic, Made in China).
4. Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics through drone was foiled by alert BSF and Punjab Police.
