RECOVERY OF A DRONE ALONGWITH 1 PACKET OF SUSPECTED HEROIN BY BSF IN AMRITSAR

Amritsar (The Stellar News): on specific information of BSF intelligence set up about an attempt of cross border smugglers to drop consignment of narcotics through a drone, BSF troops launched an extensive search operation near the border fence area in the vincity of Village-Daoke, Amritsar District.

2. During the search operation, at about 08:55 pm, the vigilant BSF troops successfully recovered 01small drone alongwith 01 packet suspected to contain heroin (gross weight – approximately 500 grams), 01 empty pistol magazine and 01 green colour mini torch. The narcotics was wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, and a metal ring was attached to the packet. This recovery took place in the farming field behind of the border fence adjacent to Daoke village in Amritsar District.

3. The recovered drone is a Quadcopter (Model-DJI Mavic 3 Classic, made in China).

4. The observant and alert BSF troops thwarted yet another illicit attempt by Pakistani smugglers to transport narcotics through a drone.
