Fire Fighting Awareness Program conducted at Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hoshiarpur

Mock Fire and Evacuation Drill were conducted at Navodaya Vidyalaya, Phalahi, Hoshiarpur (Punjab) under National Disaster Management- School Safety Policy 2016, in order to aware the staff and school students regarding fire-fighting techniques. The main objective to conduct this program was to prepare school staff and students for any natural and man-made adversity including Fire and Earthquakes.

Staff and students were enlightened with different types of fire-safety techniques and methods, so that they can protect themselves during any emergency.

On this event, a number of personalities arrived to share their valuable thoughts on life-saving skills including Mr. Arvind Parkash Verma (Tehsildar Hoshiarpur), Mr. Avtar Singh (ADFO), Mr. Jaswant Singh (sub fire officer), Mr. Santokh Singh Heer (Home guard, Coy Commander). They gave very precious tips over fire safety and life-saving skills.

This program was ended with a great lesson regarding emergency safety during natural and man-made disasters.
