Three people found dead, as five story building collapsed in Bengaluru on Thursday evening. The building was under construction and located near jail road, Kasavanahalli, Sarjapura, Bengaluru.
According to information, 3 people were died, 11 injured and several people were trapped under debris. The injured people were immediately rushed to nearby hospital for treatment.
Deceased are identified as, Anwar Ansari, Sher Ahmed from Uttar Pradesh and Raju from North Karnataka. Fire control team, city police and National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) immediately arrived, when they were informed. The rescue operation is continuous.
Police stated that, the construction was started six years ago and it was paused for some time. Six months ago, construction resumed again. The construction was almost complete, but the building collapsed. It is being estimated that the cause of this collapse is the rainwater, which was stagnant in the foundation of building after rainfall.
