Today, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh spots illegal mining from Chopper. He investigates the illegal mining on Satluj banks in Phillaur, Jalandhar and Rahon, Nawanshahr.

Captain Amarinder Singh ordered setting up a special team in many districts to investigate illegal mining and tax evasion by miners in a meeting of mining department on Monday. He also directed to raise vigil on stone crushes mainly located in three districts Rupnagar, Mohali and Pathankot.
This inspection come forward a day after cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu and Punjab Congress Chief Sunil Jakhar had raised problem of illegal mining.
