J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News),Anil Bhardwaj: To disseminate necessary awareness regarding water conservation and preservation, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Tuesday flagged off an Awareness Van from the DDC Office Complex. SSP, Chandan Kohli; BDC chairman, Darbar Choudhary; ADC Rajouri, Sher Singh; SE Jal Shakti Department, SR Shukla; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat and ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, ExEn PWD Rajouri, Mohd Zubair besides other officers were present on the occasion While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that District Administration in collaboration with the Jal Shakti Department, RDD and PRIs has decided to generate massive awareness among the masses about the importance of freshwater in our daily life to save this precious gift of nature.
Deputy Commissioner informed that the District Administration Rajouri is committed to providing drinking water supply to all the households of the district and for this several measures are being taken to mitigate the sufferings of the common masses.Deputy Commissioner also informed that necessary instructions have been passed on to the concerned from the Jal Shakti Department for the early completion of works on the ongoing PHE Schemes and the work on repairing the old hand pumps has also been started.Deputy Commissioner urged upon the people to actively participate in such campaigns and play a constructive role in water conservation and preservation by ensuring judicious use of this valuable gift of nature. Similar functions have been organised at Sub Division levels and Block Levels.
