J&K/Bandipora (The Stellar News): Anil Bhardwaj. Deputy Commissioner Bandipora , Dr Owais Ahmad today inaugurated first of its kind Fitness cum Health and Wellness centre of ISM dept at Aragam. Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Nodal Officer ISM Dr Iftikhar Gazi, DDC members and other PRI representatives were present on the occasion. Director ISM Dr Mohan Singh also attended the inauguration ceremony through VC. While dedicating the institution to the public, Deputy Commissioner said the Welness Centre has been built in convergence mode with Tribal Sub-Plan and modern equipments for fitness of local population has been envisaged.The area wore a festive look after the centre was inaugrated as it has become source of attraction in the area.
The facilities like cupping, massaging, yoga , gym and Ayush medical consultation are availible for the locals. Two halls have been dedicated to modern fitness items , viz treadmills , weight lifting and other fitness devices. DC Bandipore expressed gratitude to Director Tribal affairs for supporting this initiative in Health Sector of Bandipore. He further hinted at opening and upgradation of 5 more Health and wellness centres in the district under ISM sector. He stated that further steps will be taken for promoting Heath and Medical tourism in Bandipore.
