INDIAN ARMY ORGANISES DRAWING AND PAINTING COMPETITION TO COMMEMORATE SWARNIM VIJAY VARSH AND KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

J&K/Rajouri & Reasi (The Stellar News): Indian Army organises Drawing & Painting competition to commemorate Swarnim Vijay Varsh & Kargil Vijay Diwas. With an aim to create awareness & honour the valour & sacrifice of the valiant soldiers of Indian Army during Kargil War and commemorate Swarnim Vijay Varsh Celebrations of 1971 Indo Pak War and the gallant heroes of our great Army, Indian Army at Samote organised a Drawing & Painting competition at various far flunged locs of Rajouri & Reasi District.

The theme of this painting competition was ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh– Tribute to our fallen heroes’. It was aimed at commemorating 50 yrs of 1971 Indo Pak War Victory and celebrate 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas & create awareness in the population about the heroic deeds of the nations bravehearts during Op Vijay. It was also aimed to encourage the students to display their talent & boost their confidence. Drawing & Painting competition was organised for 10 years to 16 years age group children. A total no of 87 children participated in the event, from Rajouri & Reasi Districts. Students were provided with required stationary and accessories for the drawing and painting competition.

The parents, local population & the children expressed their gratitude towards the Army & paid homage to the bravehearts of Indian Army. The unique awareness drive launched by Indian Army through this drawing and painting competition was appreciated by all public representatives and social activists and will surely encourage the children of this area to join Indian Armed Forces.
