Zero tolerance against corruption, non performance and lawlessness: CP

Jalandhar (The Stellar News): Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Mr Naunihal Singh told warned the officers that zero tolerance will be adopted against corruption, non performance and lawlessness.

Chairing a crime meeting to review the law and order situation in Commissionerate Police, the Commissioner of Police said that the directions of Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi and Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa regarding effective Policing needs to be fully implemented at the grass-root level. He said that every effort must be made to provide effective, transparent and responsive Policing to the people. Mr Naunihal Singh categorically said that corruption and inefficiency in deliverance of services to people will not be spared at any cost.

The Commissioner Police said that the PCR system needs to more effective and responsive to any call made by the people. Likewise, he said that the traffic system in city too needs to be streamlined to ensure that residents do not face any sort of problem. Mr Naunihal Singh said that  night domination and vigilance must be enhanced and all the officers must patrol the area under their jurisdiction in night to keep a check on crime rate.

The Commissioner of Police further said that Excise Act must be implemented in right spirit and any violator must be put behind the bars.
