He said they have three main plans by which they will successfully clean the Yamuna before Feb 2025. He said Delhi Government will increase the frequency of Water treatment plants, built new plants and update the older plants with new technologies which will clean the water up to 10:10 quality.

He also said that, at present the savage water is thrown into Yamuna and Delhi only has capacity to clean to 600 MGD of water but requires more than 800 MGD.

Kejriwal added that, in Delhi most of the people don’t get savage connections and drain their waste into the streets. So, Delhi government has decided to provide savage connections without any permission and will adjust the nominal fees to their water taxes.

CM said, some industries directly drain untreated water into Yamuna but Delhi Government will take strict action against them and their factories will be closed.

On this BJP sarcastically slammed the promises of CM Kejriwal and tweeted that, “New day but same script”.
