Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Punjab is one of five states who are going to witness assembly elections next month of February. The trend of election is looking different than last time elections. As each party is claiming that they will voted into power but this times many new alliance are involved in the elections.
Congress party currently in power is now standing in a totally different position where they don’t have that face with which they got public mandate in 2017 elections, as Capt Amarinder Singh has leaved the congress and made his own party.
While other prominent leaders are still finding a way to settle on a common table but till then the tussle is still on in congress party. Three names are in the race, Sunil Jakhar, Navjot Singh Sidhu and present Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi.
Charanjit Singh Channi has created an image of common man in last three months of his working and removing him from his current position can give loss to congress party.
But if Sidhu will not be announced as CM Candidate, could also harm party as he has good relations with many congress leaders and ignoring him means compromising with some other leaders.
While the veteran leader Sunil Jakhar is also waiting for the right time to show his anger against the party policies as he was also sidelined with the former Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh.
As AAP has already announced their CM Candidate and showed their trust on the name of Bhagwant Mann. Now, Public is waiting for the other parties to announce their CM Candidate.
