Theft case in Kalakote solved by police

J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Jammu and Kashmir police in Kalakote of Rajouri have worked out a case of theft arresting two accused involved in case and recovering stolen property worth lakhs from accused. Police said that on 11th of January, an information was received at Police Station Kalakote to the effect that during the intervening night of 10th and 11th January, incidents of theft took place in Kali Mata mandir and a house at Sair Kalakote. In this attempt, burglars decamped with cash and gold ornaments. In this connection, a case FIR 04/2022 was registered at PS Kalakote and a Special Investigation Team headed by SHO Deepak Pathania and PSI Amit Radhay under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza, Adl. SP Nowshera Amit Verma was constituted.

During the course of investigation, scores of suspects were picked up and put to sustained questioning and on the basis of technical and human intelligence, two persons namely Sarfaraz Ahmed (23) @ Kaala Age son of Jameel Ahmed resident of village Garat Broh in Kalakote and Fiaz Ahmed (21) son of Mohd. Sadiq resident of village Garat Broh Kalakote were zeroed in, who during sustained questioning, confessed their crime. On their disclosure, stolen items were recovered that include Gold nose pins – 05, Gold ear rings – 02, Gold ring – 01, Silver bangles – 04, Mangal Sutar – 01 and rupees 12,000 in cash. SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam said that a number of theft cases have been worked out in Rajouri district in recent past and accused have been put behind bars and cases of theft are being worked out in a professional manner.
