J&K/Doda (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: SSP Doda Shri Abdul Qayoom said that under operation “SANJEEVANI” today a Police Party from Police Station Thathri led by Insp. Amrit Katoch SHO Police Station Thathri laid a special Naka at Haneja Thathri. During routine checking/frisking at the Naka point one pedestrian was noticed in suspicious circumstances and tried to flee away from the checking place but he was apprehended and during his checking/frisking, 750 gms of Narcotics substance (Charas) was recovered from his possession which he had concealed in a polythene bag.
On enquiry, the accused person disclosed his name Ayaz Ahmed S/O Abdul Qayoom R/O Bhalwana Tehsil Mahalla District Doda. In this connection, case FIR No. 23/2022, U/S 8/20 NDPS act has been registered at P/S Thathri and investigation of the case is going on.The forward/backward links are being questioned and investigation conducted so far, reveals that the accused person is a main drug peddler who was supplying drugs in Thathri area.Recovery of the Narcotic Substance (Cannabis) and arrest of accused was made under the supervision of Meer Gafoor JKPS SDPO Bhaderwah and Sh. Raj Kumar Incharge Addl.SP Bhaderwah.
