4 INDIAN MINISTERS TO GO UKRAINE NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES FOR EVACUATION OPS

New Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Four union ministers will fly to Ukraine’s neighbouring countries to coordinate the evacuation of India students stranded in the middle of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting with top minister and officials on Monday morning on the Ukraine crisis and Indians who are trying to leave the Ukraine.

As per reports, Minister Hardeep Puri, Jyotiradhitya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and UK Singh will travel to the countries surrounding Ukraine as special envoys of India to help with the evacuation.

“The PM said the safe evacuation of students is a priority,” sources said on the second such meeting called by PM Modi in two days. On Sunday evening, the Prime Minister had met with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba, among others.

Around 16,000 students are stuck in Ukraine, either at the borders, or hiding in bunkers, bomb shelters and hostel basements.
