Anil Bhardwaj: Doda Police said that it was learnt through reliable source that one Amjad Hussain S/O Mohd Hussain Bhat R/O Chinar Mohalla Bhaderwah was going towards Bhaderwah town from Chinta area and was in possession of narcotic substance (Charas). Acting swiftly on this information, a Police team of Police Post Bhalra headed by PSI Bupinder Sharma IC PP Bhalra swung into action and apprehended the accused person near Kapra Bridge and while conducting his search 370 gms of Charas was recovered from his possession. In this connection a case FIR No.29/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation of the case has been started.
The forward/backward links of the accused person are being ascertained during investigation to unearth the source of supplier. The recovery of Charas was made from the possession of accused person in presence of Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhalra (Bhaderwah) by the Police party led by IC PP Bhalra PSI Bupinder Sharma under the supervision of Sh. Abdul Ghafoor, SDPO Bhaderwah and overall supervision of Sh. Mohd Aftab Mir Addl.SP Bhaderwah. It is worthwhile to mention here that Doda Police under operation Sanjeevani has continued its war against the drug peddling in the District.
