J&K/Bandipora (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: In the wake of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav the Indian Army organised a lecture on Science and technology and laid out a splendid display of weapons to the students studying in PG senior Secondary school at Parori Gujjaran village in border area Distt. Rajouri . The Army during its regular profiling of villages in the area realised, the necessity of encouraging students to pursue science and technology as this field has been ignored in the area and is a path less tread upon. The students in the area are mainly from agricultural background which also includes cattle rearing. The lecture included recent initiatives undertaken by the Govt under the Make in India scheme which included developments in the field of Millitary, Space, digitalisation of market and infrastructure development.
It ended with a brainstorming session which the students participated with great gusto and enthusiasm. The event also included a weapons display to which the students were thrilled. The Army is highly supportive of encouraging the youth of the nation in the field of sports and education hence after the weapons display the troops distributed educational material which included dictionaries and sports equipment including volleyballs. The end of the event was a cheerful one with all the students encouraged and motivated enough to begin with an endeavour to commence research and discover new ways and means to make life better for themselves and also for the nation as a whole.
