J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Department of Mathematical Sciences, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, organized a four Day “WORKSHOP ON SPSS” in which more than 60 participants registered. the programme began with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Dr. Zaheer Abbas, during which he introduced the Resource person to the audience and highlighted the importance of such workshops. The Resource person for the workshop was Dr. Gorav Sehgal, pf “Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, India. In his message, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Akbar Masood congratulated the Department for organising the workshop which would definitely benefit research scholars and Post Graduate students of the Department.
Further, he encouraged the Department to keep organising such events in future and assured them that every possible help would be extended to them. During the workshop, the resource person Dr. Gorav spoke at length on the importance, historical background and implementation of the SPSS. He also gave Hands – on training to the participants. During the lectures various queries were raised by the participants which he handled very efficiently. At the end of the workshop a velidictory function was organized in which a memento was presented to The resource person Dr. Gorav. many participants including students and faculty members (Dr. Zaheer Abbas, Dr. Javid Iqbal , Dr. Ram Singh, Dr. M. R. Lone, Mrs. Sharuti Gupta) made comments and appreciated the lectures of the resource person.
