J&K/Ramban (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Today a police party of police station Ramsoo was on patrolling duty at sarbagni Chaka Ramsoo area. During Patrolling the Police party noticed one person coming from chaka side towards Ramsoo in possession of a Blue coloured bag under suspicious conditions. On seeing the police party, the said person tried to fled from the spot . Police party of Police station Ramsoo chased the said person and stopped him for checking. During checking of the bag which was in possession of the the said person, the police party recovered 4 KG charas like substance . On enquiry, the said person disclosed his identity as Mustafa Sohil S/o Abdul Latief Sohil R/o Sarbagni Tehsil Ramsoo District Ramban and confessed to the crime that the contraband was being illegally smuggled for selling purpose. On this, the accused person was arrested on spot and the recovered contraband was also taken into the custody. In this connection, case FIR no 101/ 2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at p/s Ramsoo and investigation enstrusted to PSI Rinku Sharma .
The overall Operation was carried out by police party headed by Insp. Nayeem Ul Haq SHO PS Ramsoo under the supervision of Sh. Nasir Khoja SDPO Banihal with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Ms Mohita Shama, IPS. Distt Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to act swiftly against criminals. District Police seek support from people to share information about other criminal activities being carried out in the region with police for timely intervention for the cause.
