Kartarpur Sahib (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: On Monday, three children went to get berries from trees got crushed by train in Kartarpur Sahib in Punjab, while the fourth one is being treated in Hospital.
ASI GRP, Jagjit Singh informing about the happening said, “Three children dead, one injured in a train accident 2 children died on spot. One died on way to hospital. 4th one is being treated. Children had come here to eat berries off trees & did not realise a train was approaching them”.
The accident took place on the Lohand railway bridge over the Sutlej River. The children were on the tracks as the train going from Saharanpur to Himachal Pradesh arrived near Kiratpur Sahib.
The train halted after the accident and the injured children were taken to the Civil Hospital in Anandpur Sahib but one died on the way.
