Bengaluru (The Stellar News): A woman and her toddler son crushed to death on Tuesday after a metro pillar under construction collapses on the Hennue main road in Bengluru.
The deceased have been identified as Tejaswini, 35, who worked at Manyata Tech Park, and her son Vihan. According to traffic officials, Tejaswini was travelling with her husband Lohith and their twin children-daughter and son-on motorcycle off the Hennue main road at around 10:30 am when the metro pillar along the nagawara line crashed to the ground. Lohith and their daughter sustained minor injuries.
Traffic police officials said the women and her son were rushed to Altius Hospital nearby, but were pronounced dead at around 11 am. They added that the son succumbed to head injuries while Tejaswini died due to internal bleeding.
