Kerala (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Five people were killed in deadly car crash on National Highway in Ambalappuzha shortly after last midnight, all five are identified as ISRO canteen employees.
The deceased are Shijin Das (24), Manu (24), Prasad (25), Amal (28) and Sumod, son of Chackro, hailed from Thiruvanthapuram’s Muttada.
The car they were travelling in crashed into a truck near Kakkazhom overbridge at 1: 30 am on Monday. CCTV visuals of the accident show the over speeding car crash into the truck. While four died on the spot, one passed away at the hospital.
Their bodies will be released to their relatives after autopsy at the Alappuzha Medical college hospital. The truck was en route to Alappuzha from Andra Pradesh. The truck driver and cleaner were taken into custody by the Police.
