PM Modi said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is a Swantantra Fauji (an independent soldier), while delivering the victory speech after Tripura poll result on Saturday.
Modi also commented that “Congress does not consider their CM their own”. Indeed, “neither congress nor Amarinder consider each other their own.
This statement is under controversy, as Punjab CM Amarinder tweeted that, “who told Modi about this”. He also added, whether congress high command had complaint to Modi about this.
Amarinder tweeted, “who told you that @narendramodi ji? Not me for sure. Did the @INC India high command complaint to you against me? Anyways let me make it clear that such frivolous statements won’t help you create a wedge between me and my party, which has full faith in my leadership & Vice Versa.
