Over 2,000 Anganwadi workers held protest against Jammu and Kashmir government in order to increase in honorarium and other benefits.

They alleged that government failing to fullfill their demands. Workers shouted and raised slogans against state government.
President of Anganwadi Centres Association, Tasleema Subhan said, “We are on strike from last four days. In all Anganwadi Centre in Jammu and Kashmir pen down strike is being observed. The strike will continue till the government will not take any decision regarding our demands.”
