CPM leader and former LS member Basudeb Acharia was injured, when TMC supporters attacked CPM activists on Friday.

This incident took place, when Acharia (75) and nine-time MP, were accompanying candidates to file nominations for the next month’s panchayat elections. He was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
The case has been registered and investigation is on.
