26 Private hospitals to provide care & treatment of patients of coronavirus

Jalandhar ( The Stellar News): To ensure the best possible care for COVID-patients in private hospitals, the high-level committee set up by Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori in this regard on Friday initiated the monitoring of bed capacity and requisite infrastructure in said hospitals. The Committee being headed by ADC (D) Vishesh Sarangal today took stock of arrangements and medical infrastructure in 26 private hospitals in the city to contain the further spread of COVID in view of spike in the cases of coronavirus in the district. Giving details in this regard, Mr Sarangal said that these 26 private hospitals had come forward to work hand-in-hand with Government in treating level-2 and level-3 patients of coronavirus. He said a meeting with nodal officers from health and Civil administration had been convened and asked them to provide the ground report at the earliest so that medical infrastructure in these hospitals could be utilised for level-2 and level-3 Covid patients.

He said that these teams would jointly visit these hospitals to prepare a complete report of bed equipped with piped oxygen supply and ventilators to ensure best possible treatment in critical cases.He said that said that these hospitals would charge on the maximum rates as fixed by Punjab Government for the treatment. Mr Sarangal asked SDM-II Mr Rahul Sindhu and DMC Dr Jyoti to ensure smooth coordination and these empanelled hospitals with the administration to avoid any unconvince.However, he told that the situation was totally under control in the district and people must come forward for the testing so that the timely detection and treatment could be ensured to contain the spread of further the Covid-19 pandemic.
