CM dedicates projects worth Rs. 94 Crore in Paonta Sahib

Himachal(The Stellar News): Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 94 crore in Paonta Sahib Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmour district through video conferencing from Shimla today.

Chief Minister inaugurated five developmental projects worth Rs. 31 crore, which includes 396 meters double lane bridge over Giri river on Rampurghat Manpur Deora road alongwith construction of approaches on both sides built at a cost of Rs. 19.07 crore under NABARD, new police station building at Paonta Sahib constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.13 crore, lift irrigation scheme Badhana Kalatha in tehsil Paonta constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.69 crore, bus stand Paonta Sahib built at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore and  Rs. 90 lakh 61.50 meters span RCC Box Cell bridge across Jambu Khalla on Jawalapur to Lal Tappar road.

Jai Ram Thakur  also laid foundation stones of 18 projects worth about 63 crore  which includes link road from Shamsherpur to Nawada via Heerpur Matralion Rampurghat road to be constructed at a cost of Rs.4.85 crore, Rs. 2.09 crore metalling and tarring on link road from Dev Ka More to  Bobri Khodri, Rs. 73 lakh building of Government Senior Secondary School Nagheta, Rs. 63 lakh providing Har Ghar Nal Se Jal under C.V. Kishankot, Baliwala, Nariwala and Gujjar basti Chhalluwalain Tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 1.96 crore LWSS to PC habitation of C.V. Bhuppur Kedarpur G.P. Bhatanwali in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 43 lakh providing Har Ghar Nal Se Jal under C.V. Khodri Majri and Manpur Deora in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 2 crore lift water supply scheme to PC habitation of C.V. Kotri Bias Chanpur G.P. Kotri Bias in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 34 lakh providing FHTC under WSS Danda Anj, Amboya, Rajpura, Danda Kalatha and Shiv Shamyala in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 45 lakh various water supply schemes of Group village in IPH Division Paonta Sahib and Rs. 38 lakh providing balance FHTC’s to various habitations of GP Muglanwala Kartapur in tehsil Paonta Sahib.

Chief Minister performed foundation stone laying ceremonies of Rs.1.19 crore LWSS multi village for GP Kundion, Badripur, Bhatawali, Jamniwala, Nawada and Shivpur in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 4.20 crore tunewells in Paonta area for village Pipliwala, Johron, Puruwala, Johron, Puruwala, Patlion, Subhkhera, Taruwala, Gondpur, Dharamkot and Jhabha basti in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 7.47 crore  three irrigation tubewells in G.P. Danda Pagar, four in G.P. Bhagani, four Gorkhuwala, three Dobri Salwala and two in G.P. Khodri Majri in tehsil Paonta Sahib, Rs. 98 lakh replacement of old pumping machinery of various LIS with allied accessories in Paonta constituency, Rs. 6.83 crore 33/11 JCV Sub Station Jagatpur Johron Electricity Division Paonta Sahib, Rs. 9.85 crore 33/11 KV Sub Station Nageta,  Rs. 9.03 crore providing decentralized community owned stand alone solar powered water supply schemes in various villages of Paonta constituency and Rs. 8.94 crore augmentation of water supply scheme to Paonta town.

   While addressing the people of Poanta Sahib from Shimla, Chief Minister said that the increase in number of Corona patients in the State has forced the State Government to go for online inauguration and laying foundation stones of various developmental works in the State. He said that all these projects would be completed within a year and he would make it a point to inaugurate these projects, by personally visiting the area. He said that the State Government has taken several steps to check spread of this pandemic.

Jai Ram Thakur said that Sukh Ram Chaudhary was the first elected representative from Poanta Sahib to get representation in the State Cabinet. He said that this has ensured rapid and alround development of the area. He said that the country and the world was today passing through tough phase of corona pandemic. He said that the country has been successfully guided through this bad phase by the able leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

Chief Minister thanked the people of Poanta Vidha Sabha area for contributing Rs 55 lakh towards the CM Covid fund and PM CAREs. He said that in addition to this the people of the area had also contributed generously by providing masks and sanitizers to the people of the area. He said that the State Government was giving special thrust on development of the Poanta Sahib area. He said all this was possible due to the dedicated leadership provided by the local MLA and MPP and Power Minister Sukhram Chaudhary, who was always concerned about the development of the area.

    Jai Ram Thakur said that Rs 251 crore project has been approved by the Centre for channelisation of Yamuna river which would provide much needed relief to the people of the area. He said that people should strictly follow the SOPs issued by the State Government from time to time to check spread of this virus. He said that there were greater chances of spread of this virus during the winter season. He urged the people of the State to remain more vigilant and use face masks and follow social distancing norms. 

MPP and Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaundary, while thanking the Chief Minister for inaugurating and laying foundation stones of twenty three developmental projects worth Rs.94 crore, said that all these projects would go a long way in making a marked charge in the lives of the people of the area. He said that the water supply schemes would not only provide better water supply to the people of the area but would also strengthen the economy of the farmers by providing them better irrigation facilities and thereby strengthen their economy.

Member of Parliament and State BJP  Chief Suresh Kashyap thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth crores of rupees in the area. He said that these projects would ensure benefits to thousands of people of the area. He said that three years tenure of the present State Government led by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has ensured equitable development of every area and every section of the society in the State.     

Jal Shakti, Horticulture and Revenue Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Industries Minister Bikram Singh, MD HPSEB Ltd. R.K. Sharma were present with the Chief Minister at Shimla, whereas Deputy Commissioner Sirmour Dr R.K.Pruthi, SP Sirmour  Khushal Sharma,  Chairperson Nagar Parishad Poanta  Seema Chaudhary, BDC President Poanta Ramesh Tomar and other leaders were present at Paonta.
