Massive action taken against bovine smugglers by Jammu Police

Jammu (The Stellar News): In a drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 50 bovine animals from different locations. In total 4 vehicles, that is, two trucks, one Mahindra load carrier and one Tata mobile bearing Registration Nos. JK02CC 7043, CG04MP 3354, Jk02BK 5503 and Jk02CB 6705 respectively have been seized. In this regard, various case FIRs have been registered in different police stations and accused have been arrested. The accused arrested have been identified as 1.) Roshan Lal S/o Ramesh Pal R/o Pathankot Punjab along with helper namely Liaquat Ali S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Upper Thanowa Tehsil and Distt Udhampur 2.) Harpal Singh S/o Avtar Singh R/o Saharnpur Uttar Pradesh 3.) Mohd. Taj S/o Mohd. Shafi R/o Teh. Sunderbani Rajouri along with helper namely Zaheer Abaas S/o Mohd. Hussain R/o Plangad Distt. Rajouri and others.

The whole operation has been done under the supervision of SP Rural Sh. Sanjay Sharma and the arrests has been made in the jurisdiction of PP Manwal, PP Pouni Chak and PP Jourian. Further investigation of the case is going on. District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause.
