J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News): Indian Army has always been on forefront to successfully accomplish the task assigned to it, whether it’s during war or in peace time. During the challenging times of COVID Pandemic, Indian Army has been contributing immensely towards controlling the spread of the disease. In continuation of its efforts A COVID-19 Awareness, Youth Orientation and Mask Distribution programme was conducted by Ace of Spades Gunners at Gambhir loc on 21 May 21. A total of 80 individuals from village Gambhir and adjacent areas attended the event under strict Covid protocols. In line with the ethos of the Army, a motivation and orientation lecture was organised for the youth. The event culminated with lunch for all attendees and was appreciated by the locals.
With nationwide drastic rise in the number of COVID Positive cases every day, there is a dire need to maintain highest standard of hygiene and sanitation in the area of responsibility and to create awareness amongst the local populace. Distribution of these COVID relief items will facilitate COVID warriors and local populace in these challenging times to fight against COVID. This gesture of Army has generated goodwill amongst the local populace for the Indian Army and will go a long way in cementing the already existing bond between Awam and Army.
