MAN WHO SOUGHT MUKESH AMBANI HOUSE ADDRESS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Mumbai (The Stellar News): A 40 year old man who came to Mumbai as a tourist has been taken into custody by police for seeking address of Industrialist cum businessman Mukesh Ambani.  Yesterday’s security scare came months after an explosives-laden SUV (a Mahindra Scorpio) was found metres from Mukesh Ambani’s home, Antilia.

The man taken into custody has been identified as Suresh Visanji Patel. In the initial Inquiries have not turned up anything suspicious, police said this morning, adding that Mr Patel was a tourist and was curious about Mr Ambani’s home, which is a city landmark. Police, however, said they intended to fully question him to rule out any possible threat.

This morning the authorities said that the taxi in which Mr Patel was travelling (a Wagon R) and its driver would be questioned as well. According to PTI, Mr Patel’s taxi driver asked another driver about Antilia’s location because his phone had died and he was unable to access the ‘map’ feature.
