J&K/DODA (The Stellar News) Anil Bhardwaj- Continuing it’s war against Drug Peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society Doda Police today registered two separate FIRs against two Drug Peddlers at Police Thathri
Police said that under operation “SANJEEVANI” today during the routine Naka checking at Phagsoo Police Party of Police Station Thathri apprehended one person namely Mohan Lal S/O Krishn Lal R/O Udhampur and recovered 140 gram Opium (Hafeem) like Narcotic substance.
In another case, after receiving a specific input that one person namely Krishn Lal S/O Lal Chand R/O Puniyala (Gundna) who is carrying a Narcotic drug for selling to the youths of general area of Thathri.
On this information Police party led by SHO PS Thathri Shri Amrit Katoch arrested the sad Drug Peddler and recovered 110 grams of charas like Narcotic Substance in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class Thathri.
In this regards case FIR No. 16/2022, U/S 8/18 NDPS Act. and Case FIR No.17 /2022, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act. stands registered at Police Station Thathri against the above named accused persons respectively and investigation has been set into motion. Both these recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Shri Meer Ghafoor JKPS and Incharge Addl.SP Bhaderwah Shri Raj Kumar JKPS
The special drive against the Drug Peddlers in the district is going on under the overall supervision of SSP Doda Shri Abdul Qayoom. He said that Doda Police is committed to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the District and all out efforts are being made to curb the menace of Drug peddling from society.
