Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: PM Narendra Modi while addressing a public rally in Abohar district of Punjab condemned the Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi’s remark over the people of Bihar and UP.

PM slamming the remark questioned that, “Where was Guru Gobind Singh Born? In Patna Sahib, Bihar. You say that won’t let people of Bihar come in. So, will you insult Guru Gobind Singh too?
He added, “Was Sant Ravidas born in Punjab? He was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. You say that won’t let bhaiya of Uttar Pradesh enter in Punjab. So will you turn away Sant Ravidas too? Will you erase his name? What language do you use?”
Attacking the Congress party, PM said, “Congress always pits people of a region against others. Congress CM gave a statement yesterday that received claps from a member of the family in Delhi. Who are they insulting with such statements? Not one village here where people from UP-Bihar don’t toil”.
PM Modi was in abohar to seek votes for his party ahead the polls, and stated that, “Punjab needs a govt that draws inspiration from patriotism, from the development of Punjab. BJP has come before you with dedication, with the resolve of security and development of Punjab.
In a bid to restore BJP image among farmers, he also referred his government decision of implementing recommendations of Swaminathan Commission. Slamming the Congress, Modi said, “History is witness that congress always betrayed farmers. There was long pending demand to implement recommendations of Swaminathan Commission. They sat on those files but kept lying.”
