J&K/Poonch (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Indian Army under the aegis of Tithwal Brigade has undertaken number of initiative to channelise the energy of young generation towards nation building under OP SADBHAVNA. Continuing with these efforts Indian Army Team based at Jaran Wali Gali organised a lecture on ill effects of drug abuse at Village Tanvi, Poonch. During the lecture youth were sensitised about various aspects of drug abuse which included the adverse effects of drugs on individual health, family and society.
Due emphasis was also laid on the reason of drug abuse, rehabilitation at the earliest to overcome the drug menace. A total of 20 locals attended the lecture. The lecture concluded with a question and answer session which saw active participation from the audience. The lecture organised by Indian Army has been deeply appreciated by the Sarpanch, Numberdar, Prominent Personalities and the audience. These small initiatives of Indian Army towards guiding the youths towards effective nation building reflects the noble moto of We Care We Can. This will further cement the existing bond between Awam and Security Forces and will have long lasting impact on the local populace including youths.
