Cricket tourney kick started in Rajouris’ Darhal

J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Under Civic Action Programme, Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district is taking a series of steps to hold sports events in order to motivate the sportive spirit of youth and to channelise their energy in a constructive manner. Under these efforts, Jammu and Kashmir police kick started a cricket tournament at Darhal tehsil headquarter which is being organised under Darhal police station.

The tournament was inaugurated by DDC member Darhal, Mohammad Iqbal Malik in presence of SHO Zaffer Amin and other civil society members. The tournament is being organise at Government Higher Secondary School ground with the inaugural match was played between FCC Darhal and Amir XI and FCC Darhal won the match by 124 runs. SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam said that holding sports events, channelising every of youth in a constructive manner is a pivotal aim of police under its Civic Action Programme and a number of sports events are being organised across the district in different areas especially in rural areas. He further reiterated the commitment of police in supporting the talent of youth appealing people to take active part in such events.
