J&K/Rajouri (The Stelalr News), Anil Bhardwaj: Jammu and Kashmir police in Nowshera sub division of Rajouri foiled a narcotics smuggling bid and recovered Heroine like substance from two peddlers. Police said that in drive against drug menace, patrolling party of Police Post Lamberi while checking duty at Lamberi area apprehended two person namely Rajinder Kumar @Raghu son of Puran Singh resident of Kot Morah, Akhnoor in Jammu and Vishal Singh @ Vishu son of Karan Singh resident of Akhnoor Jammu. During checking recovery of 08 grams heroine like psychotropic substance from Rajinder Kumar and seven grams of same contraband from the possession of Vishal Singh was made. The duo have been arrested and case FIR No. 135/2022 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Nowshera.
The arrest and recovery took place by the special efforts of PSI Arun Singh, SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia and SDPO Nowshera Tussif Ahmed under the supervision of Additional SP Nowshera Amit Verma. The locals of the area are appreciating the efforts of Nowshera/Lambheri Police in their continous and relentless efforts in curbing the Drugs menace which is effecting the locals especially the youth. Nowshera Police extends the help and support to civil society in developing effective inputs regarding the peddlers who are involved in the trade and supply of Narcotic substance.
