Mumbai/ Chandigarh (The Stellar News): In a video message the DGP of Punjab Gaurav Yadav said that in a joint operation with the Maharashtran Police, they seized 73kg of heroin in Nhava Sheva port in Maharshtra and the container was imported by Delhi based importers named ‘Nandini Traders’. Along with this 148kg of heroin has been seized in the last one week with the help of the central agencies. He also added that continuing their fight against drugs, the Punjab Police has achieved another major success today. For carrying out this operation Punjab Police’s State Operation Cell went to Maharashtra with the co-operation of Central agencies and Maharashtran police. Gaurav Yadav also said that the operation is going on and forward and backward linkages in the case are being explored.
He further added that the war against drugs will continue. In a joint operation with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, the Punjab Police seized 75 kg of heroin from the container at the Mumbai port.
