Two arrested for vandalising 3 mazar’s in UP to incite violence

Uttar Pradesh (The Stellar News): On Monday, two males have been arrested on the charges of damaging, vandalising shrines to incite communal violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district. The two accused have been recognised by the police as two brothers, Mohd. Kamal Ahmad, and Mohd. Adeeb.
(ADG) law and order, Parshant Kumar mentioned that the 2 accused damaged three mazars while wearing saffron scarves to show as if some folks from the Hindu neighbourhood demolished the shrines and incited communal violence.
The three shrines which were vandalised are Jalalsha’s mazar, Bhuresha’s mazar, and Qutubshah’s mazar. The incident was reported a day before Shivratri of Saawan month when there can be big motion of Kanwariyas on a number of routes of Bijnor and its adjoining west UP districts.
He mentioned that the Bijnor police was alerted when the primary data of two shrines Jalalsha’s mazar, Bhuresha’s mazar was reported by locals on Sunday night. Later details about one other mazar of Qutubshah was additionally obtained. The state police’s intelligence models and police station officers investigated the complaints on precedence and tracked down the accused within hours.
Kumar mentioned the intelligence models are interrogating the 2 brothers to determine their plans and if they have been related to any organised group or have accomplished this act independently.
