BSF and ‘Nya Yug Nya Soch’ welfare society organised free medical camp

Gurdaspur (The Stellar News): On July 31, BSF and the ‘Nya Yug Nya Soch’ welfare society organised a free medical clinic for neighbouring villages, at the Government Senior Secondary School. A free health check-up and medications were given to the poor villagers in Rosse, District Gurdaspur, by BSF medical personnel and a team of medical professionals from Amandeep Hospital, Pathankot.

Sh. Pradeep Kumar, Comdt. 89 Bn BSF, inaugurated the camp. Sh Niraj Mahajan, Chairman of the ‘Nya Yug Nya Soch’ welfare group, the CMO and the officers of the 89 Bn BSF and the Sarpanch of the neighbouring villages of Rosse and Pakiwan were present during the event.

Around 300 – 400 peoples of bordering villages – Rosse, Lopa, Pakiwan, Balim, Didowal, Mirkachana, Momanpur, Metla, Chanduwadala and others were provided treatment and medicines.

In addition to patrolling borders, the BSF is running such a campaign to aid to those living in the border regions.
