Chandigarh (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: On Monday, more than 30m protesters were detained by the Punjab Police marching towards the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s residence in support of their demands, including release of Sikh prisoners.

Under the banner of ‘Kaumi Insaaf Morcha’, people from various parts of Punjab have been holding the protest. They have laid a siege at YPS Chowk near Mohali-Chandigarh border since January 7.
The protesters are seeking the release of various bandi Sikhs who have completed their sentences but are still inside the jail and justice in the 2015 sacrilege case and firing case in which two persons were died with the gun shots.
