J&K/Jammu (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers under operation “SANJEEVANI”, Doda Police has arrested two notorious drug peddlers from Gandoh area.
While giving detail, Doda Police said that on the receipt of specific information that Mohd Huzaif son of Pervaiz Ahmed resident of Gowari tehsil Gandoh and Anayatullah Khan son of Lal Din Khan resident of Sanwara tehsil Gandoh have been selling narcotic drugs among the youths of the area and duo were carrying charas like substance with them for selling purpose. Upon this, a Police Party of Police Station Gandoh led by Inspector Vikram Singh, SHO PS Gandoh under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh Adil Rishu intercepted duo accused persons while they were coming by foot from Bhangrow Nalla towards Gandoh. During their personal search charas like substance was recovered from their possession in the presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class Gandoh.
In this connection, case FIR No. 32/2023 under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation of the case has been started. Doda Police has launched massive hunt against the drug smugglers and warned such black traders to desist from this practice, else stern action would be taken which includes detention under PSA, attachment of moveable / immoveable property of the smugglers besides registration of FIR against them.
