Jammu (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Continuing its war to root out the drug menace from the society, Doda Police has destroyed poppy cultivation in Phagsoo (Thathri) in presence of Tehsildar Phagsoo.
While giving details, Police said that on the receipt of reliable information at Police Station Thathri regarding cultivation of poppy plants at village Lotera (Kahila) tehsil Phagsoo. Acting upon this alarming information, Police swung into action and a joint team (Police/Civil Administration) reached on the spot and destroyed poppy plants.
In this connection, case FIR No. 33/2023 under relevant section of law has also been registered at Police Station Thathri and the investigation of the instant case is going on.
Doda Police has warned such cultivators to desist these activities, else strict action under law will be taken which also includes attachment of moveable /immoveable property of persons if found involved in such practice.
