J&K/Jammu (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: On 03.04.23 a written complaint was lodged by complainant namely Amit Kumar S/O Dalip Kumar R/O Uttam Nagar, Kunjwani, Jammu at PS Gangyal to the effect that on 03.04.23 in day time he along with family members left the house for attended creamation at Shastri Nagar, Jammu and when returned back and found that some unknown thief(s) entered in his home and decamped with gold items.On the receipt of this information, a Case FIR No. 46/23 U/S 454/380 IPC got registered at P/S Gangyal and investigation got started.
During the course of investigation, a Police team of PS Gangyal led by SHO PS Gangyal Inspr Ajaz Haider assisted by ASI Jamal Din under the overall supervision of SP South Smt.Mamta Sharma & SDPO South Sh.Sachit Sharma was constituted. Police team did strenuous efforts and after connecting various leads finally rounded up a group of suspects later identified as group head namely Mehboob Akhter S/O Late Shamas Din R/O Basoli A/P Nai basti Bari Brahmna, Jammu and four others suspects. During intensive questioning, accused persons confessed their involvement in the above case in which stolen gold items 360 gm ( 36 tola) worth Rs 20 lakhs was recovered by PS Gangyal.
During further course of investigation the above mentioned team of accused persons confessed their involvement in another theft cases registered at PP Bathindi vide FIR No. 102/2023 , 104/2023 U/Ss 454/380/IPC in which gold items 300 gm (30 tola) worth RS 16 lakh was recovered by IC PP Bathindi SI Shakeel Kanth upon the disclosure of accused persons.
The overall arrest and recovery was made by Insp.Ajaz Haider SHO PS Gangyal, assisted by SI Shakeel Kanth IC PP Bathindi ASI Jamal Din of PS Gangyal under the supervision of Sh SDPO City South Sh.Sachit Sharma(JKPS) and SP City South Smt.Mamta Sharma (JKPS) under the overall supervision of worthy SSP Sh Chandan Kohli(IPS). Further investigation of the cases are going on.
