J&K/Rajouri(The Stellar News) Report- Anil Bhardwaj: Foiling a smuggling bid, Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri arrested a truck driver with a consignment of poppy straw on highway.

In an official statement, police said that a team of Manjakote police station headed by SHO Manjakote Abrar Khan under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote Zaffer Nawaz during routine checking at Neli intercepted a truck PB10DF 3287 driven by Kulwant Singh son of Gurdeep Singh resident of Chak Fateh Singh Walia of District Bathinda in Punjab.
During checking of vehicle approximately 1100 grams of Poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
On this a case FIR No 54/23 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered and investigation started.
